KFC Uerdingen 05's Kristian Donath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanh Goldberg in the 7th minute of play. In the 8thth minute of the game Fabrizio Nowak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Pipon Pipon's Francisco Pope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kristian Donath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanh Goldberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KFC Uerdingen 05's Kristian Donath proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen 05 from getting a goal against them. Kristian Donath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanh Goldberg in the 25th minute of the match. Jose José was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Pipon Pipon's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute, Lucien Zollt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Brian Laudrup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Pope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Thanh Goldberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kristian Donath. That made the score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanh Goldberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Pope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Laudrup in the 57th minute of the match. Fabrizio Nowak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. C. A. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
