The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caco Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Inko, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Conrado Iliana got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Chinho FC's Aníbal Velasco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lucio Geofredo but with some difficulty. Lucio Geofredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute of the match, Nando Vinhas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lucio Geofredo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ataka Krieser received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucio Geofredo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ataka Krieser slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Florida Gulf Coast from getting a goal against them. Luizão de Brito's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucio Geofredo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Caco Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Inko, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Luizão de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Lucio Geofredo made a huge save. After some careless play in the Florida Gulf Coast defense, Luizão de Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Geofredo. The Florida Gulf Coast fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Geofredo should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo got control of the ball when Luizão de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luizão de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Lucio Geofredo made a huge save. Lucio Geofredo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Nando Vinhas sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute of the match Chinho FC got a corner. Florida Gulf Coast's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nuno de Lima ran over to the corner to take the kick. With 44 minutes on the clock, Afonso Massa commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Luizão de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Geofredo having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luizão de Brito to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luizão de Brito made a precise shot to the right of Lucio Geofredo. Florida Gulf Coast's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Luizão de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucio Geofredo was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Luizão de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute, Luizão de Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucio Geofredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Ataka Krieser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Erruki kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Ataka Krieser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Geofredo having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Ataka Krieser had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Geofredo. Florida Gulf Coast's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ataka Krieser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Nestor Inko did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-1 to the left of a surprised Caco Silveira 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Chinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Fiz came free, but Caco Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Geofredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ataka Krieser in the 76th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Ataka Krieser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Florida Gulf Coast's zone, Ataka Krieser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Geofredo came out of the goal and Ataka Krieser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Vinhas came free, but Lucio Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Nando Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chinho FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Caco Silveira made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Eleuterio Fiz sent off a good shot on target. Lucio Geofredo came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Chinho FC's Ataka Krieser. But to his dismay, Ataka Krieser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Nando Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Geofredo having to interfere. Ataka Krieser struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Lucio Geofredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chinho FC. Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão de Brito in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chinho FC had played much better football throughout.
