The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan Abascal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Fredric Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Calluss short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Julian Hackett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fredric Hansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11 minutes of play, Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Frasco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredric Hansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernard Degabriele did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Julian Hackett 19 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Frasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredric Hansson was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Bernard Degabriele made a precise shot to the right of Julian Hackett. Águilas Poblanas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 35 minutes into the match, Fabricio Frasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fredric Hansson. Meerkats FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabricio Frasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 39 minutes into the match, Vincent Callus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julian Hackett, 3-3. 46 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fredric Hansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernard Degabriele to make the kick off. Águilas Poblanas's Virgilio Laurendi was substituted for Juan Abascal. After 60 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Perpinya. Vincent Callus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Julian Hackett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Timoteo Elija fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Timoteo Elija a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Elija. In the 66th minute, Fabricio Frasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrè Tedesco hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Meerkats FC booed when Águilas Poblanas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredric Hansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Laurendi's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Timoteo Elija hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabricio Frascos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Fredric Hansson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fabricio Frasco struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Fredric Hansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águilas Poblanas.
