In the 3rd minute Godofredo Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Robledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's Fabricio Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Robledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 6th minute Fabricio Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Robledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Harriet. 19 minutes into the match, Kalatakaya F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Frasco came free, but Marcelo Robledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olando Abancens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Robledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Laurendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Hackett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olando Abancens's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Águilas Poblanas's Godofredo Harriet got a free kick in the 27th minute. Fabricio Frasco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Frasco to make the kick off. Claudio Mir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Julian Hackett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Robledo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Virgilio Laurendi sent off a good shot on target. Águilas Poblanas's Julian Hackett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Mir in the 61st minute of play. When Kalatakaya F.C.'s Olando Abancens in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Águilas Poblanas's goalie prevented a goal. Fabricio Frasco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Marcelo Robledo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Águilas Poblanas defense, Olando Abancens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Hackett. The Águilas Poblanas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Hackett should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Salvadore Abaunza sped through Águilas Poblanas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julian Hackett. Olando Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Julian Hackett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
