The FC Acatar fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when FC Acatar's Alin Chiru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Les Tigres getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jonathan Veronica hit a great ball. Les Tigres were furious when Edgardo Rojas was red carded, 11 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ekhemos Kezdoglou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Txilar in the 19th minute of play. Paulino Lain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Bâlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Arturo Pirro charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Pirro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Les Tigres getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. In the 27th minute of the match FC Acatar got a corner. Les Tigres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gigel Durbac ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gigel Durbac almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Les Tigres's Paulino Lain did a great save. The supporters of FC Acatar booed when Les Tigres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Jon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, FC Acatar's Nicu Vornicu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulino Lain. Paulino Lain yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 41 minutes of play, FC Acatar's Alin Chiru made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulino Lain was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
