Remigio Valerón made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Andrézinho Pelé sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Guido Escobar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Andrézinho Pelé's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Valerón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Inocencio Ramirez was slow to take the kick. During this time RB Chubut's players had a chance to rest. 14 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Remigio Valerón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrézinho Pelé. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrézinho Pelé got free with Remigio Valerón in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remigio Valerón was a little too slow when Andrézinho Pelé got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 18th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubén Flores to maneuver through the defense. When RB Chubut's Andrézinho Pelé, in the 19th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for RB Chubut. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrézinho Pelé got free with Remigio Valerón in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Escobar in the 30th minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Julio Alacuart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 33rd match minute, RB Chubut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Ramirez to maneuver through the defense. Rubén Flores's late challenge caught a RB Chubut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubén Flores helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Pelé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Valerón having to interfere. Paco Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Escobar in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

RB Chubut's Adrian Cristos was substituted for Inocencio Ramirez. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guido Escobar made a kick off. Adrian Cristos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 67 minutes in the game Aquilino Oihan did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Niles Moran. 74 minutes into the game, RB Chubut's Niles Moran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Valerón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Baraxil Casillas's late challenge caught a RB Chubut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baraxil Casillas helped the player get up and apologised. Baraxil Casillas kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Niles Moran came free, but Remigio Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RB Chubut's Paco Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Dorio in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, RB Chubut could leave the field as winners, despite ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO having more of the ball for most of the match.
