After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Nilmar de Souza got a free kick in the 10th minute. João Carlos Lucas was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Baldomero Chano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baldomero Chano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Rosario Escarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Valencia in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Ronny Skytt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LVCVS AVGVSTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Skytt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronny Skytt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Lucas having to interfere. After 26 minutes LVCVS AVGVSTI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marek Lodowy who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's corner Ezio Gøl fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rosario Escarza quite easily take care of the ball. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after LVCVS AVGVSTI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marek Lodowy took the corner. Rosario Escarza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar de Souza in the 30th minute of play. Rosario Escarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. LVCVS AVGVSTI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA the free kick. Aníbal Ríos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. João Carlos Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Chano in the 59th minute of play. LVCVS AVGVSTI's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
