Gong Ying Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Ortega in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Militros F.C.'s Franklin Souza got a free kick in the 13th minute. Oséas Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Dumont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ive Volckaerts sped through Militros F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oséas Baptista. 23 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Peixoto came free, but Gong Ying Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Bernardo Sharkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Ortega in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Gusztáv Bács notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Militros F.C.'s Oséas Baptista. Oséas Baptista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes into the game, one of Militros F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 41st minute, Robert Wells hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betão Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gong Ying Zheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Lago in the 44th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Ortega's late challenge caught a VC zoetwater's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Ortega helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VC zoetwater booed when Militros F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Ortega didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Instead of passing the ball, Robert Wells made a really hard long shot towards goal. Militros F.C.'s Oséas Baptista realized he got lucky when he saw the ball passing the outside of the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Ortega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, David Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When VC zoetwater's Bernardo Sharkin in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Militros F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd minute Ive Volckaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséas Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Machado in the 67th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 68th minute of play forced Militros F.C.'s goalkeeper Oséas Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Baptista came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by VC zoetwater's Bernardo Sharkin. But to his dismay, Bernardo Sharkin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Militros F.C.'s Ronaldão Silva was substituted for Renatinho Lago. Militros F.C.'s Oséas Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ive Volckaerts in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Arnaldo Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Ying Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes VC zoetwater got a freekick which was hit by Carl Beach. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Costa got free with Gong Ying Zheng in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd match minute, VC zoetwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusztáv Bács to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Militros F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VC zoetwater.
