In the 3rd minute, Bryan Lam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gong Ying Zheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 5 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Yip came free, but Gong Ying Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Sharkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryan Lam in the 14th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Sharkin kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bryan Lam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gong Ying Zheng was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Gabriel Abdul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Sharkin in the 34th minute of play. The VC zoetwater fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when VC zoetwater's Bernardo Sharkin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th match minute, NFH Family United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alif Yi-Sheng to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Abdul made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ive Volckaerts sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by NFH Family United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ive Volckaerts was slow to take the kick. During this time VC zoetwater's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Robert Wells heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Patrik Olsson hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bryan Lam made a kick off. Gong Ying Zheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryan Lam in the 54th minute. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Yip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Gong Ying Zheng managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when NFH Family United's Bryan Lam fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 62 minutes, Bernardo Sharkin made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. NFH Family United's Gabriel Abdul tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Ive Volckaerts notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of NFH Family United's Gabriel Abdul. Gabriel Abdul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Merlin Braddell got free with Gong Ying Zheng in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Abdul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Sharkin in the 77th minute of the match. Bernardo Sharkin took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Abdul. Gabriel Abdul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 83 minutes into the game, Ive Volckaerts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Gabriel Abdul was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Ive Volckaerts put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gabriel Abdul. The supporters of NFH Family United booed when VC zoetwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ive Volckaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Didi Yip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Ying Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Ive Volckaerts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC zoetwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. When Ive Volckaerts came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the VC zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ive Volckaerts couldn't finish the play.
