Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åke Pil in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandrinho Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Valenzuela came free, but Sandrinho Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Valenzuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sandrinho Veiga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play.
