The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anthony Falcioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Messias having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Chi-Chi Kent left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The POPULAR F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, POPULAR F.C's Chi-Chi Kent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dario Gambini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 16th minute, Adriano Gagliano made a precise shot to the right of Emílio Messias. POPULAR F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Gagliano during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Adriano Gagliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Anthony Tristezza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sao Brasola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave POPULAR F.C the free kick. Anthony Tristezza kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Chi-Chi Kent came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the POPULAR F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chi-Chi Kent couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, POPULAR F.C's Chi-Chi Kent dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 29th minute, Chi-Chi Kent made a precise shot to the right of Dario Gambini. Sao Brasola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 35 minutes into the game, Chi-Chi Kent recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dario Gambini. Chi-Chi Kent showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. In the 40th minute, Baltazar Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sao Brasola's Enrico De Tommasi got a free kick in the 45th minute. Dario Gambini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chi-Chi Kent went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adriano Gagliano to make the kick off. Sao Brasola's Dario Gambini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chi-Chi Kent in the 53rd minute of play. In the 61st minute of the game Enrico De Tommasi made a throw-in which Anthony Falcioni played forward. When POPULAR F.C's Chi-Chi Kent in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sao Brasola's goalie prevented a goal. Anthony Falcioni kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Dario Gambini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chi-Chi Kent, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes POPULAR F.C got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Gold. If Chi-Chi Kent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dario Gambini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chi-Chi Kent, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 79 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Chi-Chi Kent came free, but Dario Gambini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dario Gambini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Chi-Chi Kent made a precise shot to the right of Dario Gambini. Sao Brasola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Chi-Chi Kent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Gambini having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. POPULAR F.C had won after a very even match.
