After 2 played minutes Gocław Wilga Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Gondek. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Gocław Wilga Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiusz Nikodemski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gocław Wilga Warszawa's zone, Valéry Morales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Mentus came out of the goal and Valéry Morales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florian Mentus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valéry Morales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Will McMahon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Ziomkowski's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reuben Bunch in the 14th minute of play forced Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Florian Mentus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradley Ferrell hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Carnes came free, but Florian Mentus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gocław Wilga Warszawa getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Arkadiusz Nikodemski hit a great ball. Frankie Carnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Mentus having to interfere. Will McMahon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Ziomkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Florian Mentus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valéry Morales in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Jerrold Villeneuve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, Gocław Wilga Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Popowicz to maneuver through the defense. Vancouver Reds's Valéry Morales couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gocław Wilga Warszawa. Florian Mentus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Plante in the 38th minute of play. Will McMahon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Ziomkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valéry Morales was the one to do the kick off. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Florian Mentus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reuben Bunch in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Will McMahon managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Edmund Ziomkowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Will McMahon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmund Ziomkowski in the 57th minute. Vancouver Reds's Will McMahon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Sobczak in the 60th minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Valéry Morales made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Florian Mentus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florian Mentus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frankie Carnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Mentus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Ferrell in the 68th minute of the match. Vancouver Reds's Bradley Ferrell got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Vancouver Reds's Valéry Morales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florian Mentus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Vancouver Reds's Will McMahon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Vancouver Reds from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Vancouver Reds's Will McMahon got control of the ball when Edmund Ziomkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Valéry Morales came free, but Florian Mentus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariusz Sobczak struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Will McMahon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gocław Wilga Warszawa. Bogdan Jakubiak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Will McMahon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Mentus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Ferrell in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Vancouver Reds were the better team. Vancouver Reds's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
