Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Cirelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Felice Fantozzi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aron Dahlbom. Pete Sampras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felice Fantozzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, AC Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Agassi came free, but Carlo Cirone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Sampras in the 54th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Carlo Cirone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Chizzo in the 57th minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Mats Wilander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Roma's Carlo Cirone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Paolini to maneuver through the defense. Mats Wilander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlo Cirone. AC Roma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cesare Chizzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Aron Dahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesare Chizzo got free with Aron Dahlbom in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aron Dahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felice Fantozzi in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AC Roma walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
