After 3 minutes, Alvaro Marsili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luponero FC and the EoDu Uai Sôccer players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Alvaro Marsili hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes of play Luponero FC's Alvaro Marsili was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of EoDu Uai Sôccer booed when Luponero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Marsili didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Paiva in the 10th minute of play forced Luponero FC's goalkeeper Antonio Iacobucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of EoDu Uai Sôccer booed when Luponero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Marchegiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Ettore De Vecchis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luponero FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EoDu Uai Sôccer the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniele Fiore in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer Moreno saved EoDu Uai Sôccer from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Daniele Fiore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luponero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniele Fiore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliézer Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd match minute, Luponero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Arcangeli to maneuver through the defense. Luponero FC's Antonio Iacobucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Luponero FC from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Carlo Marchegiani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliézer Moreno. EoDu Uai Sôccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlo Marchegiani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eliézer Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Fiore in the 39th minute of play. EoDu Uai Sôccer's Eliézer Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Fiore in the 46th minute of play.
The wind increased when Daniele Fiore made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Luponero FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Marchegiani. EoDu Uai Sôccer's Erivaldo Furlan got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliézer Moreno made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Daniele Fiore sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th match minute, EoDu Uai Sôccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Daniele Fiore got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 60th match minute, Luponero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Collovati to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Furlan in the 62nd minute of play forced Luponero FC's goalkeeper Antonio Iacobucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Luponero FC's zone, Denílson Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Iacobucci came out of the goal and Denílson Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Erivaldo Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EoDu Uai Sôccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlo Marchegiani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliézer Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Antonio Iacobucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino de Medeiros in the 71st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reginaldo Meira during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 76 minutes, Dave Collovati managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luponero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Collovati was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Durvalino de Medeiros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Iacobucci was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Luponero FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Crispino. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luponero FC's goalkeeper Antonio Iacobucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 91 minutes of play EoDu Uai Sôccer's Reginaldo Meira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
