Demetrio Ancieta came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brasiliense FC's Juninho de Azevedo. In the 10th match minute, Cabildo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Aceituno to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Cabildo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho de Azevedo came free, but Demetrio Ancieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Aceituno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Wágner Seco made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Juan Manuel Riquelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Ancieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Amaral in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Amaral in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demetrio Ancieta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Demetrio Ancieta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juninho de Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Dé Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brasiliense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Juan Manuel Riquelme made the kick off in the second half. When Severino Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brasiliense FC's protests and gave Severino Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. Juninho de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Demetrio Ancieta made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Walmir Fernandes got a free kick in the 87th minute. Juan Manuel Riquelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
