Marian Prislop kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Jula came free, but Valer Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Valer Onișoru got control of the ball when Valentin Boldur tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Gigi Bobei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

LIVERPOOL FC made a substitution. Iurie Maniu replaced Ilie Zbuchea. The wind increased when Leontin Stoleru made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Victor Mocanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Victor Mocanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silver Phoenix. Gigi Bobei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Victor Mocanu made a huge save. Gigi Bobei was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Victor Mocanu had great luck who in the 78thth minute grab hold of the ball when Iurie Bănățeanu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Victor Mocanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Bobei in the 80th minute of play. Victor Mocanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Paulică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Iurie Bănățeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The LIVERPOOL FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's performance. The match ended with a win for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca.
