In the 58th minute FC La Masia were awarded a corner. Giovanni Messias went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC La Masia's Giovanni Messias to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Podgoreanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Furtado came free, but Marian Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luan Furtado took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Podgoreanu. But to his dismay, Fausto Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 78 minutes into the game, Giovanni Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC La Masia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC UNIREA Alba Iulia the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Rosado during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC La Masia booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. FC La Masia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
