The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Calisto during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A.Esparta's Rafael Calisto got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Eber Larralde came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tabalongo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eber Larralde couldn't finish the play. If Mauro Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Soffia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tabalongo AFC's zone, Mauro Astudillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Dell´Orto came out of the goal and Mauro Astudillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.A.Esparta's Silverio Cordara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eber Larralde in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Mauro Astudillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sebastián Dell´Orto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eber Larralde scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silverio Cordara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th match minute, Tabalongo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Orden to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Mauro Astudillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The wind increased when Mauro Astudillo made the kick off in the second half. Silverio Cordara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamín Casas in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Marcos Soffia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabalongo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Soffia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Cordara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastián Dell´Orto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eber Larralde charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eber Larralde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tabalongo AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Eber Larralde hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, one of Tabalongo AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tabalongo AFC. In the 68th minute, Fabricio Videl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silverio Cordara made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Benjamín Casas sent off a good shot on target. Sebastián Dell´Orto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Calisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Carolo Solustiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Dell´Orto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Eber Larralde recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silverio Cordara. Eber Larralde showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Mauro Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Dell´Orto having to interfere. Carolo Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carolo Solustiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Tabalongo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carolo Solustiano came free, but Sebastián Dell´Orto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Domingos Horado fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Esparta's protests and gave Domingos Horado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tabalongo AFC booed when C.A.Esparta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Horado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamín Casas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 98th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The C.A.Esparta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tabalongo AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
