Potentia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danny Castelen should have stopped the shot. In the 14thth minute of the game Eustaquio Tiadoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. Potentia's Danny Castelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute of the match, Marcial Rosio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Danny Castelen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Danny Castelen made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Mario Tipi sent off a good shot on target. Tonny Bas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tomás Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralph van der Stoel struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Tomás Maule didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Potentia. After 21 minutes of play, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Eustaquio Tiadoro made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danny Castelen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Potentia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danny Castelen should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonny Bas in the 46th minute of play forced Bendito Sea El Fernet's goalkeeper Tomás Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frits Douwes was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Bendito Sea El Fernet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Guerrero to maneuver through the defense. Potentia's Danny Castelen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Rosio in the 91st minute of play. In the 96th minute Eustaquio Tiadoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Castelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bendito Sea El Fernet had won after a very even match.
