Freddie Bloom struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Tostão Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for T H F C. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Goodwick in the 8th minute of play forced Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. T H F C were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Montesclarense E.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roger Crossley took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Julian Goodwick got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tostão Cardoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Freddie Bloom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tostão Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, T H F C's Roger Crossley got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th match minute, T H F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Wardell to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Stone was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christiano Siqueira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Chris Nightingale charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Nightingale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, T H F C's Chris Nightingale got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Pedrão Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Stone having to interfere. Dane Wardell kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ben Gibbs kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Pedrão Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ivan Stone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Goodwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, T H F C's Dan Radcliffe got a free kick in the 35th minute. T H F C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Jarbas Vinhas scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Stone, making the score, 3-0. Freddie Bloom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tostão Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Freddie Bloom managed to get in a good position for a shot. T H F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Bloom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrão Hoffmann to make the kick off. With a little luck, Montesclarense E.C.'s Tostão Cardoso got control of the ball when Roger Crossley tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 53 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Luz. Ivan Stone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Siqueira in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Tostão Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Goodwick. T H F C were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Montesclarense E.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roger Crossley took the corner. After 60 minutes of play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Christiano Siqueira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Stone was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Freddie Bloom fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored T H F C's protests and gave Freddie Bloom a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, T H F C's Freddie Bloom got a free kick in the 63rd minute. João Paulo Luz took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Stone. Ivan Stone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 73rd minute Jarbas Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Stone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Crossley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Julian Goodwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, T H F C's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Hoffmann came free, but Ivan Stone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes, Roger Crossley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the T H F C and the Montesclarense E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes T H F C got a freekick which was hit by Roger Crossley. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when T H F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Davenport didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montesclarense E.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of T H F C for a fine match.
