Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toninho Goiano kicked off to start the match. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Diaconu in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute, William Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Gigel Diaconu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GOMEZ F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Gigel Diaconu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, GOMEZ F.C.'s Ismael Momparte got control of the ball when Toninho Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of GOMEZ F.C. booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismael Momparte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Quadros in the 34th minute of the match. Gigel Diaconu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Hugo Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Lloret in the 37th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Serginho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Albuquerque's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Ismael Momparte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd minute, Toninho Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Momparte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Albuquerque in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes, Vicente Wiseman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GOMEZ F.C. and the MINEIROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Lloret made a kick off. MINEIROS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Patricio Lloret scored to the left of an out of position Serginho Taffarel, making the score, 0-2. In the 58th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Gigel Diaconu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GOMEZ F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Diaconu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, GOMEZ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Quadros came free, but Ismael Momparte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MINEIROS's Benê Amorim was substituted for Maicon Quintal. 80 minutes into the match, GOMEZ F.C.'s Patricio Lloret sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serginho Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Patricio Lloret recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Serginho Taffarel. Patricio Lloret showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. João Keane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Benê Amorim. Serginho Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Lloret went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded GOMEZ F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MINEIROS.
