After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Clinton Caballero got a free kick in the 39th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Dallas Seymour recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kurt Ekberg. Dallas Seymour showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience held their breath when Jão Cabeleira in the 89th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Kurt Ekberg's left hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Cabezon in the 92nd minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper Kurt Ekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Oğuzkan Temizöz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
