The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Heimo Paaso got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommi Lundell in the 10th minute of play forced KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's goalkeeper Volkan Çelikoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, one of KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS. The referee gave Liverpool FC a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Heimo Paaso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's Volkan Çelikoz. 0-1. In the 21st minute, Melih Cevdet Yörükoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Liverpool FC's Heimo Hytönen got control of the ball when Melih Cevdet Yörükoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juhapekka Eloranta didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melih Cevdet Yörükoğlu in the 26th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Heimo Hytönen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volkan Çelikoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herkko Virolainen in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Niklas Jaakkola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Çelikoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Janne Lahtinen got a free kick in the 39th minute. The long shot by Asaf Ağın in the 40th minute really tested Heimo Hytönen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Necaettin Pınar to strike the kick off in the second half. Melih Esraf kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Volkan Çelikoz came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool FC's Tommi Lundell. But to his dismay, Tommi Lundell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's Taci Argün got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's goal looked a bit too open when Heimo Paaso came free, but Volkan Çelikoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Ilmari Seppo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th match minute, KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taci Argün to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS got a freekick which was hit by Reşat Hasanoğlu. KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's Volkan Çelikoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heimo Paaso in the 67th minute of play. Volkan Çelikoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommi Lundell, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Volkan Çelikoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommi Lundell's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the Liverpool FC defense, Necaettin Pınar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heimo Hytönen. The Liverpool FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heimo Hytönen should have stopped the shot. Necaettin Pınar charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Necaettin Pınar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Liverpool FC's Hemmo Hana was substituted for Janne Lahtinen. A collision led to KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Necaettin Pınar hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Topi Vähäsavo got a free kick in the 89th minute. KaRaBaĞLaR !! - URAS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Herkko Virolainen scored to the left of an out of position Volkan Çelikoz, making the score, 1-3.
