Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Peixoto in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Ibis Football Club's Eurico Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Carioca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Ibis Football Club getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hílton Koehler hit a great ball. Ibis Football Club's Pedro Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Miranda in the 15th minute of play. Pedro Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Barrenta SC's Nestor Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Peixoto in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Ibis Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Fallito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ibis Football Club's Pedro Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Lima in the 34th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ibis Football Club's Eurico Peixoto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nestor Carioca. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. After 43 minutes, Paulão Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the Ibis Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Paulão Salgado got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Nestor Carioca was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Eurico Peixoto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eurico Peixoto really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eurico Peixoto to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Eurico Peixoto put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nestor Carioca. The audience was convinced that Eurico Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Carioca was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Eurico Peixoto took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Carioca. Nestor Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Nestor Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tadeu Félix was slow to take the kick. During this time Ibis Football Club's players had a chance to rest. Nestor Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Fallito in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match Ibis Football Club got a corner. Barrenta SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tadeu Félix ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Eurico Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ibis Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eurico Peixoto couldn't finish the play. Barrenta SC's Marquinhos Messias was substituted for Paulo Mello. In the 82nd minute, Tadeu Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Eurico Peixoto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Carioca. Barrenta SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eurico Peixoto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Ennio Fallito hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Ibis Football Club's Eurico Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Carioca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Nestor Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Eurico Peixoto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Carioca. Barrenta SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eurico Peixoto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ibis Football Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barrenta SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
