After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Valdomiro Amorim got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Hermínio Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Humberto Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Chesaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute of the match FC Steaua Pildesti got a corner. MAZER SAF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moise Irod ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 14th minute, Angelo do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Neculuță in the 15th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as MAZER SAF's Laércio Paraíba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Octavian Bogdănescu. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. After 24 minutes of play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Costin Iorgu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermínio Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 minutes, Humberto Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAZER SAF and the FC Steaua Pildesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Roşoga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Moise Chesaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Moise Chesaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the MAZER SAF defense, Dorin Neculuță kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermínio Eger. The MAZER SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Eger should have stopped the shot. Humberto Ramos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, one of MAZER SAF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MAZER SAF. Hermínio Eger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moise Chesaru went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Dorin Neculuță made the kick off in the second half. 66 minutes into the match, Carlos-Armando Valderrama had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu. FC Steaua Pildesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos-Armando Valderrama was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Rodrigo Garro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Bogdănescu having to interfere. Costin Iorgu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hermínio Eger came out and tried to block the shot, but Costin Iorgu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 71st minute. In the 73rd match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Chesaru to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Carlos-Armando Valderrama was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MAZER SAF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Steaua Pildesti the free kick. In the 74th minute, Carlos-Armando Valderrama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgil Dragalina during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Virgil Dragalina kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Octavian Bogdănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Coronado in the 77th minute of the match. Igor Coronado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgil Gherdan kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Igor Coronado managed to get in a good position for a shot. MAZER SAF's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Coronado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Bogdănescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the game, MAZER SAF's Rodrigo Garro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Bogdănescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. The FC Steaua Pildesti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
