After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Aureo Valenciaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureo Valenciaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandão Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Aureo Valenciaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emeterio Somalo lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Emeterio Somalo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's zone, Jeferson Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Buffon came out of the goal and Jeferson Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandão Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloi Bermudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloi Bermudo in the 33rd minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Fernandão Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Kauan Rezende ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigi Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eloi Bermudo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Mandrak in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

José Maria Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernandão Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloi Bermudo in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Kauan Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Célio Pena. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara made a substitution. Nicolao Valderramal replaced Paulin Rosales. Célio Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Salles came free, but Gigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eudoxio Queipo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Aureo Valenciaga got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Eloi Bermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castanheiro SC reached it. Gigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Rezende in the 92nd minute of play.
