The crowd rose to their feet as Muget's Leontin Cenușă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gio Winters. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Ilie Niculcea kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Leontin Cenușă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gio Winters was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cihat Ulukan in the 14th minute of play forced Muget's goalkeeper Avram Panait to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Buitenhout FC's zone, Leontin Cenușă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gio Winters came out of the goal and Leontin Cenușă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Ferry Hebels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Muget booed when Buitenhout FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rik Aalders didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avram Panait showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cihat Ulukan in the 64th minute of the match. Gio Winters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leontin Cenușă went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 68 minutes into the game, Ferry Hebels recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Avram Panait. Ferry Hebels showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. Avram Panait showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerald den Hertogh, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rik Aalders in the 74th minute of play forced Muget's goalkeeper Avram Panait to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
