The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Grzegorz Bialakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davie Dallas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in The Irons Chorzów's zone, Neil McKinnon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juliusz Giertych came out of the goal and Neil McKinnon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grzegorz Bialakowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Davie Dallas having to make a save. Gavião Kyikatejê's Davie Dallas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Bialakowski in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gavião Kyikatejê defense, Grzegorz Bialakowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davie Dallas. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davie Dallas should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Neil McKinnon put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Juliusz Giertych. Davie Dallas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maksymilian Czysta, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Neil McKinnon in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juliusz Giertych, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Juliusz Giertych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil McKinnon in the 28th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Gavião Kyikatejê got a freekick which was hit by Robin Laidlaw. After 33 played minutes, The Irons Chorzów's Wasyl Bator shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davie Dallas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Irons Chorzów reached it. 46 minutes into the game, Neil McKinnon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gavião Kyikatejê's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Irons Chorzów the free kick. Neil McKinnon kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Grzegorz Bialakowski came free, but Davie Dallas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Neil McKinnon was the one to do the kick off. Barnaba Motyl kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Juliusz Giertych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil McKinnon, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Juliusz Giertych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fergus McGhee in the 71st minute of the match. When Grzegorz Bialakowski came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the The Irons Chorzów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grzegorz Bialakowski couldn't finish the play. Wasyl Bator could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Davie Dallas made a huge save. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gavião Kyikatejê! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for The Irons Chorzów. Wasyl Bator stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Davie Dallas. 1-3. When Dariusz Dranka fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Irons Chorzów's protests and gave Dariusz Dranka a yellow card for diving instead. Gavião Kyikatejê's Stevie McMaster was substituted for Neil McKinnon. After a rather tough play, The Irons Chorzów's Dariusz Dranka got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Maksymilian Czysta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90th play minutes Stevie McMaster shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Juliusz Giertych and just under the crossbar into goal. Wasyl Bator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davie Dallas having to interfere. In the 97th match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Armstrong to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Irons Chorzów walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
