Boyce Skinner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Velloso in the 5th minute of the match. Slower Lower FC's Boyce Skinner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Trigo in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Dida Capixaba got control of the ball when Titus Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilvan Nunes's late challenge caught a Slower Lower FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilvan Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. Gilvan Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Adalberto Numbers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Dida Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Slower Lower FC got a freekick which was hit by Javier Gifford. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Velloso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boyce Skinner saved Slower Lower FC from getting behind. Slower Lower FC's Boyce Skinner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Mineiro in the 28th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Garcia scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boyce Skinner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Diego Velloso put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Boyce Skinner. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Titus Silva made the kick off in the second half. When Diego Velloso fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
