The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Grigoris Maras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ERGOTELIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigoris Maras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nikos Savakis took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lauro Hoffmann. Lauro Hoffmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Percy de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Nikos Savakis sped through Bezerros EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lauro Hoffmann. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Savakis in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Percy de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lauro Hoffmann didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when ERGOTELIS's Nikos Savakis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Luiz Quadros's late challenge caught a ERGOTELIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Savakis couldn't finish the play. After the first half ERGOTELIS were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Savakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Bezerros EC's Dedé Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vágner Cunha during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vágner Cunha hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Savakis in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauro Hoffmann saved Bezerros EC from getting behind. Leopoldo de Salles hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Nikos Savakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Lauro Hoffmann skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When ERGOTELIS's Nikos Savakis in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bezerros EC's Percy de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bezerros EC's Lauro Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Maras in the 81st minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Bezerros EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Savakis came free, but Lauro Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes, Bezerros EC's Vágner Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Panos Drambas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bezerros EC reached it. If Percy de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Savakis in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ERGOTELIS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
