After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Pedro Luís Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Facopo FBPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luís Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francesco Terrazos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lonzo Bolde charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lonzo Bolde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Deportivo Ortegano got a freekick which was hit by Lonzo Bolde. Francesco Terrazos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Facopo FBPA's Oscar Prestes got a free kick in the 13th minute. Facopo FBPA's Oséias Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelmiro Bachicabo in the 15th minute of play. Lonzo Bolde hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Facopo FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Torres to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Berria during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Serafino Berria hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Pedro Luís Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Terrazos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Julen Canonega came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Deportivo Ortegano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julen Canonega couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Facopo FBPA defense, Gelmiro Bachicabo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oséias Guerra. The Facopo FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oséias Guerra should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Gelmiro Bachicabo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Gelmiro Bachicabo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Facopo FBPA getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Fabrício Saldanha hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Gelmiro Bachicabo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oséias Guerra. Facopo FBPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gelmiro Bachicabo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, Facopo FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Gelmiro Bachicabo came free, but Oséias Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Deportivo Ortegano's Francesco Terrazos got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Vargas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 68 minutes Deportivo Ortegano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Franklin Favoretto who took care of the corner kick. Franklin Favoretto made a great header on Facopo FBPA's corner, it was just that Deportivo Ortegano's Francesco Terrazos managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 69th match minute, Facopo FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Machado to maneuver through the defense. Facopo FBPA's Oséias Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lonzo Bolde in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, Deportivo Ortegano's Francesco Terrazos got control of the ball when Fabrício Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Facopo FBPA's Silvinho de Lima got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gelmiro Bachicabo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oséias Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Facopo FBPA's Joélson Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francesco Terrazos. That made the score 2-1 after 85 minutes of play. A collision led to Facopo FBPA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Oswaldo Torres hit a great ball. Oséias Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julen Canonega in the 91st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Julen Canonega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oséias Guerra was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. During the 93rd minute of the match Oswaldo Torres completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Oswaldo Torres a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Deportivo Ortegano booed when Facopo FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo Ortegano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Facopo FBPA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
