Alan de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Tróia's late challenge caught a Urutu F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. Eusébio Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Dorian Catarinense came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Urutu F.C.'s Luís Malheiro. But to his dismay, Luís Malheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Eusébio Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Microsoft Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Tróia couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Urutu F.C. booed when Microsoft Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Custódio Bastos charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Custódio Bastos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Urutu F.C.'s Custódio Bastos got a free kick in the 60th minute. Luiz Fernando Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Maurício Varanda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Microsoft Team. The audience was convinced that Alan de Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurício Varanda was relentless in the 64th minute of the game.
