A collision led to lןןl La Coconeta getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Feliciano Sotero hit a great ball. Vito Custódio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. lןןl La Coconeta's Lucas Rumaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Brito in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Nova Venécia-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes lןןl La Coconeta got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Polo. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Venécia-ES's zone, Pascual Garikoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Botelho came out of the goal and Pascual Garikoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes lןןl La Coconeta got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Sotero. Vito Custódio scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Rumaldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute Mário Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Rumaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, André Luiz Mineiro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of lןןl La Coconeta's Lucas Rumaldo. Lucas Rumaldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Domingos Polo fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored lןןl La Coconeta's protests and gave Domingos Polo a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes lןןl La Coconeta got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Polo. Lucas Rumaldo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Venécia-ES's Vito Custódio. But to his dismay, Vito Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Aparecido in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Rumaldo saved lןןl La Coconeta from getting behind. Lucas Rumaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Mário Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Rumaldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Sotero kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Aparecido was the one to do the kick off. Nova Venécia-ES's Paulinho Miranda suffered a concussion in the 55th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 55 minutes, Benigno Orlanda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the lןןl La Coconeta and the Nova Venécia-ES players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nova Venécia-ES made a substitution. Edmundo Secco replaced Paulinho Miranda. Lucas Rumaldo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Mário Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. Benigno Orlanda kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Vito Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Venécia-ES's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Rumaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mário Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lucas Rumaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Aparecido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Lucas Rumaldo made a huge save. The supporters of lןןl La Coconeta booed when Nova Venécia-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, lןןl La Coconeta's Domingos Polo got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Aparecido got free with Lucas Rumaldo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mário Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Nova Venécia-ES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Aparecido couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Nova Venécia-ES left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than lןןl La Coconeta.
