Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Roman Orlo kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes Genk got a freekick which was hit by Dries Vrins. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Roman Orlo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Peter-Jan Rijniers. After 12 minutes Los Laguneros de AT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Franky Peers who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Christian Moors managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 33rd minute, Ezequiel Sal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Moors struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Manuel Michael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genk. Manuel Michael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maarten Belmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Los Laguneros de AT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Orlo to maneuver through the defense. Genk's Paul Vercasteren got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Genk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Laguneros de AT were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maarten Belmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60thth minute of the game Maarten Belmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Laguneros de AT's Manuel Michael was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Roman Orlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Jan Rijniers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Michael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maarten Belmans's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Manuel Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Vercasteren in the 68th minute of the match. Peter-Jan Rijniers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Lop in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Lop in the 73rd minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Peter-Jan Rijniers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Vercasteren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Michael having to interfere. Peter-Jan Rijniers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabricio Lop showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 79 minute of play. Manuel Michael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Vercasteren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Genk getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Franky Peers hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Lop in the 96th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Peter-Jan Rijniers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
