BuBu's Ksawery Ogrodowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lions United's Arno Van Gele got a free kick in the 5th minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Lander Demeulemeester took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Waldemar Frankowski to make any attempt to save it. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind BuBu's goalkeeper Waldemar Frankowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Leonard Zachemski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BuBu and the Lions United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes BuBu got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Zachemski. Sergio Hemelsoet's late challenge caught a BuBu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Hemelsoet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Sergio Hemelsoet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lions United getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Christian Van Hoeijveldt hit a great ball. When Ryszard Frankowski came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the BuBu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryszard Frankowski couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulryk Kosowski made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Iwan Sebzda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Frankowski came out of the goal and Lander Demeulemeester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lander Demeulemeester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Frankowski having to interfere. BuBu's Waldemar Frankowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommi Uytebroeck in the 72nd minute of play. Waldemar Frankowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommi Uytebroeck in the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to BuBu getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Iwan Sebzda hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulryk Kosowski got free with Gillis Heirremans in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldemar Frankowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Iwens in the 84th minute of play. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Lander Demeulemeester sped through BuBu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waldemar Frankowski. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lions United fans cheered their team off the field, for while BuBu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
