In the 15th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Teles to maneuver through the defense. When Marcelino Normando came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Loco De Remate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Normando couldn't finish the play. Loco De Remate's Faustino Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Vidal in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Maverick Futebol Clube booed when Loco De Remate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Librado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Normando in the 28th minute of play. Faustino Fonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandrinho Quintal went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Raimundo Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th match minute, Loco De Remate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Iigo to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Quintal. When Raimundo Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maverick Futebol Clube's protests and gave Raimundo Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Abraão. 48 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's Marcelino Normando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wesley Meira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandrinho Quintal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Loco De Remate's Jose Lopez got a free kick in the 58th minute. Vágner Proença was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Loco De Remate's Faustino Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Sergipano in the 60th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Vágner Proença got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Faustino Fonso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 63 minutes, Marcelino Normando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loco De Remate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Normando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes, Marcelino Normando made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Maverick Futebol Clube's Wesley Meira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wesley Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Gutxi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wesley Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Normando in the 72nd minute of the match. Faustino Fonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Sergipano in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Loco De Remate booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Though ot was a great shot Loco De Remate's keeper Faustino Fonso was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Wesley Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Normando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 94th minute of the match Raimundo Abraão completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Raimundo Abraão a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 95th minute, Raimundo Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Maverick Futebol Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
