In the 12th minute Ernani de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 44th minute, Aníbal Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno da Costa was the one to do the kick off. Dênis Gomes came out of the goal and Augusto de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd match minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno da Costa in the 65th minute of the match. MDS Soccer Club's Sebastião Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Fonseca in the 66th minute of play. Cleiton Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dênis Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Dênis Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dagoberto Teixeira took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Sampaio. Sebastião Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Cleiton Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Dênis Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Fonseca in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Sampaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
