When Igor Henryk came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Pogoń Staszów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Henryk couldn't finish the play. Pogoń Staszów's Igor Henryk got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Beniamin Maziarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pogoń Staszów's Adam Wawrukiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Ferrara in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bar Marconi United's Arrigo Latini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adam Wawrukiewicz. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. If Igor Henryk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Henryk in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Concetto Uguccioni saved Bar Marconi United from getting behind. The supporters of Pogoń Staszów booed when Bar Marconi United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Tassotti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Igor Henryk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Concetto Uguccioni. Bar Marconi United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Henryk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pankracy Adamus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Concetto Uguccioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Henryk in the 52nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Igor Henryk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Uguccioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
