In the 20thth minute of the game Bernabe Asarta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray SK's Stanislav Kaiturov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 minutes of play, Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Bernabe Asarta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanislav Kaiturov was left in no man's land by his defense there! They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Alianza Lima. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
