Ritchie Deighton hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Carqueja's Paulo Leyva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Syd Kalischer in the 9th minute of play. If Timothy Shipton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Leyva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Shipton in the 16th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Syd Kalischer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Syd Kalischer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Paulo Leyva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Leo Moore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 played minutes, Stickleback Utd Xl's Teddy Akins shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Leyva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stickleback Utd Xl reached it. In the 81st minute, Sedeni Ampudia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timothy Shipton took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Leyva. Paulo Leyva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 92nd minute, Sedeni Ampudia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Stickleback Utd Xl were the better team. Stickleback Utd Xl's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
