After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bernabe Dacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1989 Blxsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Dacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pompiliu Comarnescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Bernabe Dacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Comarnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, 1989 Blxsk's Esteban Hitzeder got a free kick in the 15th minute. When 1989 Blxsk's Apolo Abreu in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Ciro Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Flavius Gorjanu in the 24th minute really tested Agustín Ponce's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 32 minutes into the match, 1989 Blxsk's goalkeeper Agustín Ponce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Neagoe. A collision led to 1989 Blxsk getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ruperto Aurre hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Apolo Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Flavius Gorjanu in the 36th minute really tested Agustín Ponce's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Apolo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Răzvan Galiceanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Agustín Ponce came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Flavius Gorjanu. But to his dismay, Flavius Gorjanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Nicol Montoro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in 1989 Blxsk fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave RED BLUE STAR a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Răzvan Galiceanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of 1989 Blxsk's Agustín Ponce. 4-0. 1989 Blxsk's Agustín Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Galiceanu in the 69th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Răzvan Galiceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustín Ponce was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. When Rene Gaueko came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the 1989 Blxsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Gaueko couldn't finish the play. A collision led to RED BLUE STAR getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Marcel Itu hit a great ball. Agustín Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Galiceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Pompiliu Comarnescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Gaueko. Rene Gaueko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Comarnescu having to interfere.
