Spectators: 7727 (Terracing: 5796, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Keith DeGaetano kicked off to start the match. Josh Galdes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted van der Schaaf in the 5th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Victor Lentini could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Mark Kimman however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Keith Haber got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 12th minute of the match Koos Teunissen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josh Galdes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Josh Galdes came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Lemel SV's Edwin Aukes. But to his dismay, Edwin Aukes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted van der Schaaf in the 17th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Josh Galdes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Lemel SV's Mark Kimman got control of the ball when Tyrone Sammut Castelletti tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Lentini to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Koos Teunissen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Templars FC's Josh Galdes didn't even have to move. After 32 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Serge de Boer. With a little luck, Lemel SV's Mark Kimman got control of the ball when Mark Cuschieri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Keith DeGaetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Kimman having to interfere. If Victor Lentini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ted van der Schaaf made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrone Sammut Castelletti in the 53rd minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Mark Kimman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Serge de Boer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 minutes, Edwin Aukes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemel SV and the Templars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lemel SV getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Edwin Aukes hit a great ball. When Mark Cuschieri fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Templars FC's protests and gave Mark Cuschieri a yellow card for diving instead. Mark Cuschieri kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted van der Schaaf in the 67th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper Josh Galdes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keith DeGaetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mark Kimman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keith DeGaetano in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Kimman saved Lemel SV from getting behind. Templars FC were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Lemel SV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gabriel Lentini took the corner. Gabriel Lentini made a great header on Templars FC's corner, it was just that Lemel SV's Mark Kimman managed to reach the ball for a save. Keith DeGaetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute Keith DeGaetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Kimman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Depasquale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Aukes to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Keith DeGaetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tyrone Sammut Castelletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lemel SV walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
