Spectators: 7769 (Terracing: 5827, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mario Gleason started the match with the kick off. After 6th play minutes Francisco Graham shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Benicio Poz and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Evelio Iaki got a free kick in the 10th minute. Benicio Poz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Foster Hirsch. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Favila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Congo Bongo's Epifanio Favila got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Gleason came free, but Benicio Poz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rueben Rosas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Poz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Gleason, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Sport Lisboa e Benfica were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Congo Bongo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Foster Hirsch took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Francisco Graham got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-0. 32 minutes into the match. After 35 minutes, Mateo Berriotxoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Congo Bongo and the Sport Lisboa e Benfica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benicio Poz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Graham in the 40th minute. In the 46th minute, Congo Bongo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Francisco Graham fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mario Gleason blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benicio Poz having to make a save. When Rueben Rosas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Loren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Foster Hirsch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Foster Hirsch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Poz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kirby Siegel kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Fulgencio Pedroso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Congo Bongo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 72nd minute, Aldo Maldonado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Congo Bongo defense, Francisco Graham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Poz. The Congo Bongo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Poz should have stopped the shot. If Foster Hirsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Congo Bongo booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Gleason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Foster Hirsch couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 91st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Congo Bongo. Foster Hirsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Benicio Poz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sport Lisboa e Benfica fully deserved thier win.
