Lúcio das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Orzaize in the 6th minute of the match. If Genaro Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes of play, Sipo EC's Marcinho Vianna made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Donostia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Prensadito Fulbo Clu's Leonides Donostia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Vianna in the 21st minute of play. Jeronimo Orzaize might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeronimo Orzaize ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 27 minutes, Jeronimo Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prensadito Fulbo Clu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Orzaize was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermínio Rosado made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Célio Cardoso immediately put the ball in play. Renan Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme de Almeida was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Marcinho Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Donostia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonides Donostia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Victorino Gines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when Prensadito Fulbo Clu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Umea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Guilherme de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Prensadito Fulbo Clu players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sipo EC.
