Percival Trancoso started the match with the kick off. 12 minutes into the game, Alexandre Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Víktor Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexandre Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Albuquerque. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Dadá Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Gala's supporters rose to their feet, but Dadá Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víktor Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Carlos Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Sena having to interfere. Luiz Paulo de Castro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Ademar Figueiredo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Olivedos's Víktor Mineiro. Víktor Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olívio Abraão hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Valadares came free, but Jean Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inter Gala were furious when Olívio Abraão was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 39th match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Abraão to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Trancoso in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Prestes. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardinho de Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Ademar Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Víktor Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olivedos's Víktor Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Luiz Eduardo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Ademar Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Tony Leite hit a great ball. Jean Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goalkeeper Víktor Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho de Souza. After 69 minutes, Tadeu Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olivedos and the Inter Gala players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jânio Breckenfeld hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Edson Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olivedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Gala the free kick. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Ademar Figueiredo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Víktor Mineiro. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 75th match minute, Olivedos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Víktor Mineiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dadá Cavalcante in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Inter Gala defense, Edson Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean Sena. The Inter Gala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Sena should have stopped the shot. Inter Gala's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
