In the 19th minute, László Solti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manos Kotsioss short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got András Cziráki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. László Solti took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fanis Mitilineos. Fanis Mitilineos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fanis Mitilineos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szabolcs Dala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 30 minutes on the clock, Nikiforos Kyriazis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Nikiforos Kyriazis hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Manos Kotsios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Cziráki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Nagyváradi AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szabolcs Dala to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Fanis Mitilineos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roland Szikora.
