The audience was convinced that Pedro Reynardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltasar Santana was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Edgard Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Delfino having to interfere. After a rather tough play, EL REY DE LA CARNE's Evelio Maties got a free kick in the 27th minute. Victorio Donzel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clodoveo Delfino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th minute Tobias Ikatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Pedro Reynardo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Baltasar Santana. Baltasar Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Reynardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Edgard Guillen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celedonio Estevez during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
