But to his dismay, Thierry Henry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zé Carlos Britto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Gaizkine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Thierry Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Raebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Gaspar Haritzeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pragmáticos 1903 the free kick. After 28 played minutes Acercate Y Patea de Lejos got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Haritzeder. After 37 played minutes Acercate Y Patea de Lejos got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Florinio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thierry Henry in the 38th minute of play forced Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalkeeper Delmiro Raebert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pragmáticos 1903 booed when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Joey didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Carolo Cruz with Gaspar Haritzeder as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Delmiro Raebert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferenc Puskás in the 47th minute of play. The Acercate Y Patea de Lejos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pragmáticos 1903 were winning 0-1.

Pragmáticos 1903 made a substitution. Renato de Azevedo replaced Vito Furlan. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lázaro Llope made a kick off. If Guillermo Emenon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carolo Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pragmáticos 1903 booed when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Raebert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Carolo Cruz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. Carolo Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Bernardino Baumar was substituted for Amancio Gaizkine. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Clodoveo Abecia was substituted for Amadeo Joey. After a rather tough play, Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Carolo Cruz got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Pragmáticos 1903's Ferenc Puskás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Delmiro Raebert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Clodoveo Abecia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Thierry Henry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's Delmiro Raebert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Abecia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Carlos Britto. Pragmáticos 1903's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clodoveo Abecia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 96 minutes, Bernardino Baumar made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pragmáticos 1903's Zé Carlos Britto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pragmáticos 1903 for a fine match.
