Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Sardinha in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Käcker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eurico lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ola Rydberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eurico lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Rydberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Arye Suryoye were awarded a corner. Norberto Loureiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Arye Suryoye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruhi Taykut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Beatriz 08's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Norberto Loureiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Arye Suryoye's players had a chance to rest. Valdemar Beckemans short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Eurico lago to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 59th minute Ola Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
