If Froilan Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Moise in the 3rd minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Montesclarense E.C.'s Ernani Tavares tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute Rômulo de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo de Castro came free, but Edgard de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rômulo de Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rômulo de Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Gómez made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Paulão Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute of the match Charles Aránguiz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard de Almeida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Montesclarense E.C.'s Wally Lawson got a free kick in the 18th minute. Rômulo de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Julio Gómez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Paulão Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Julio Gómez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Πυργετός Fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Charles Aránguiz in the 28th minute. The corner ended in Froilan Moise almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida did a great save. After 28 minutes, Froilan Moise made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rômulo de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulão Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Gómez having to interfere. After some careless play in the Montesclarense E.C. defense, Thomas Ravousis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard de Almeida. The Montesclarense E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard de Almeida should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Rômulo de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard de Almeida was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Rômulo de Castro made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo de Castro got free with Edgard de Almeida in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Πυργετός Fc's Xu Xun got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute, Xu Xun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Medeiros in the 61st minute of play forced Πυργετός Fc's goalkeeper Julio Gómez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Πυργετός Fc's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Charles Aránguiz in the 64th minute. A nice corner shot did that Ntinos Zoubadellis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgard de Almeida quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rômulo de Castro. Edgard de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Xu Xun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgard de Almeida, 0-3. When Montesclarense E.C.'s Paulão Medeiros in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 91st minute, Rômulo de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 minutes Montesclarense E.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Charles Aránguiz who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Πυργετός Fc's corner Froilan Moise fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgard de Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. The Montesclarense E.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Πυργετός Fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
